Women's Ministry

When Women of
Wisdom turn on an event it's a real WOW event!
Several times each year WOW runs an evening meeting
specially for women. Usually they invite somebody
to speak on a topic of interest to women. WOW
events are great occasions to invite friends along to,
and they have become popular in the local neighbourhood.
They are normally held in the All Saints Lounge.
Every so often a women-only weekend away is arranged and
these have proved to be great fun. These events
are suitable for women of all ages.

Association of Anglican Women (AAW)

The Association of Anglican Women
originated from the Mothers' Union which was
first established in New Zealand in 1886. In
1969 the New Zealand Mothers' Union considered
it necessary to break away from the ties of
"Mother England" and form the AAW.
The aims of the
AAW are:
· To
unite in prayer and to participate in the
mission of the church.
· To
promote, nurture and safeguard Christian family
life.
The AAW is a support organisation
for its members both socially and spiritually.
The Sumner-Redcliffs AAW meets at
St Andrews Church on the first Wednesday of each
month. The meeting usually starts with a short
service or prayers, followed by a talk by a
speaker and culminates with a shared lunch.
There is a sales table each month to raise funds
to sponsor a child through Christian Children’s
Fund.
For more information on AAW
