Have you ever wanted to explore the Christian faith in an open, friendly, "questions-are-welcome" atmosphere? Do you have questions about God or who Jesus Christ is but don't have any place to ask them?
The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed environment with other individuals who are also exploring Christianity. Each week a different topic is presented in an informal and friendly atmosphere where you may ask questions or just sit and listen. Some topics include: "Who is Jesus?", "Why Did Jesus Die?", "How Can I be Sure of My Faith?", and other questions.
Who is Alpha for?
- those wanting to investigate Christianity
- new Christians
- those who feel they have never really got going as a Christian
- newcomers to the church
- those who want to brush up on the basics

All Blokes Ministry
All Blacks or All Blokes? Of course both have strength, courage, determination and mostly good looks but what is the defining X factor? The present Sumner Redcliffs “ALL BLOKES” grew out of the passion to encourage men and young men of our churches and communities to focus on life purpose, destiny and issues of character, integrity and manhood based on Christian values, men who will be positive influences in the lives of those people around them, men who will act responsibly and be proactive not passive, men wanting to grow spiritually mature and be effective disciples of Christ.
AB’s invite Christian men to speak at breakfasts or evenings (Pie n Pint nights or Man BBQ’s) with stories and testimonies of their Life/Career/Purpose/Mission. AB’s support overseas mission projects, local community initiatives and mentoring programs. AB’s also run activities such as surf safaris, 4x4, hunting, fishing and motor racing throughout the year for local men, sons and young men.
A phoning list operates to contact members about forthcoming breakfast meetings. If you join the list you can expect a call about a week before to tell you about the next meeting.
To find out more about All Blokes or to join the phone list, please contact the Church office.
Home groups are a vital part of our spiritual life together and everyone is encouraged to belong to a group if they possibly can.
Groups meet regularly for friendship, prayer, Bible discussion, and mutual support. There are a wide variety of groups to choose from; some meeting during the day and others at night.
If you would like to join a group, start up a new one, or simply want more information, please contact the Church office.
