Sister Eveleen Retreat House is a small retreat house on the slopes of Scarborough, Sumner overlooking Pegasus Bay.
Sr Eveleen bequeathed this house in 1939 as a house of spiritual help and prayer. It is maintained by the Anglican Diocese, but people from all walks of faith and life are welcome. The spiritual ministry of Sister Eveleen Retreat House is rooted in Christian contemplative spirituality.
Our mission is to offer a place of stillness, prayer, hospitality,and spiritual refreshment for all who seek time with God. We welcome guests for guided and self guided retreats, quiet days, and offer rooms for individual guests and groups to step aside from daily demands, whether for a day or overnight.
Attached you will find our Retreat Programme for 2026, offering a wide range of themes and retreats led by experienced facilitators and spiritual directors, from 1 to 7 days. We hope it may inspire you and support your planning for the year ahead, inviting you and your community to opportunities for personal renewal, formation, and quiet days of rest.
