Since 1875, Sumner Redcliffs Anglican Church has been a beacon of hope and gathering for the coastal communities of Sumner and Redcliffs. In this landmark year, we pause to give thanks for all who have walked this journey with us.
Over a century and a half, our church has witnessed seasons of growth, change and renewal. From the earliest settlers to modern families, countless lives have been touched through worship, fellowship and outreach in this place. We honour those who laid the foundations and those who have carried on the mission through changing times.
Today, we continue to welcome everyone “as you are” into a community where faith meets life. Whether through worship, home-groups, kids’ church or simple acts of kindness, our story lives on in the everyday and the extraordinary. This year invites us all to reconnect, remember and rejoice together.
As we look ahead, we do so with hope — believing that the good work begun will continue, supported by a new generation of hearts and hands. Our prayer and mission remain the same: to be a loving presence in our neighbourhood, a place of belonging, and a place where the message of Jesus makes life better.
Throughout this anniversary year we will host special services, gatherings and events — all are warmly invited. Whether you’ve been with us for decades or just walking through our doors, you are part of this story. Come, let’s celebrate what has been, and what will yet be.
